Art Student Hand-Illuminates, Binds a Copy of Tolkien’s Silmarillion

German art student Benjamin Harff decided for his exam at the Academy of Arts to do something only slightly ambitious — to hand-illuminate and bind a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Silmarillion. It took him six months of work. In very 21st century elvish-monk style, he hand-illuminated the text which had been printed on his home Canon inkjet printer. He worked with a binder to assemble the resulting book. (Source)

Ok, I’m going to have to do two features on this artist. She has two very contrasting styles, and one post just doesn’t do it any justice!
All her work takes on this awesome graffiti like quality, but at the same time, they stand out so much from what your normally think of as graffiti.
Definitely an artist to pay attention too.

Shockingly enough, this is a little known artist on deviantART, His style is beautiful. A far cry from the usual anime oriented crap you find there. I think his page is completely unappreciated,  because I personally would give my right arm to have his skills.

First Post! (Whoopie!)
♦This is a fairly intriguing polish illustrator, I like their work a lot- check it out, you’ve probably seen some of her work before.
[I’ll review in more detail once I finish setting up the blog, untill then, enjoy!]
