THE REGULARITY #56 (12/31/11)

Calling all Video Editors, Animators, Illustrators, Vocal artists, Audio Mixers!

I’m back and in full force for our show at the Eccles Theater in Park City Utah during the Sundance Film Festival. A lot of work ahead but I am confident that were gonna rock it and make some killer short films for our show on January 26th.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD:

I’ve just uploaded my first edit of the audio from our half-hour staged shoot of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ at ‘Hit RECord on Halloween, 2011’.  Now it’s time to make the short film! VIDEO EDITORS, ILLUSTRATORS & ANIMATORS,  let’s start cutting and creating visuals on top of this audio.  Find out more and contribute here! 

THE MAN WITH A TURNIP FOR A HEAD:

Metaphorest wrote the text, we have an awesome live reading of it by Mr. Gary Oldman and now we are making it into a short animated film! A couple weeks ago I made a request for illustrators to contribute their sketches of what the main character can look like and we have a bunch of great contributions! ANIMATORS, let’s start creating short 5 or 10 second animation tests of a few of these illustrations.  Also, ILLUSTRATORS, it’s time to start creating the world around the Turnip Head Man.  I’m talking about settings, backgrounds, the towns people, etc. Find out more and contribute here!

and a new earth REPRISE:

We are making a REPRISE of one of my favorite records ever to come out of HITRECORD. The original is a great piece of text written by wirrow and it is prefromed by a computer. Now, VOCAL ARTISTS, it’s your turn to record yourself in sync with the computers voice so AUDIO MIXERS can layer a bunch of human voices together to sound as one.  And VIDEO EDITORS, we already have a couple rough sketches of what the visuals can look like, but we need more and more edits on top of these sketches.
